Tuyệt thực đồng hành với Trần Huỳnh Duy Thức
Từ ngày 24 tháng 5, nhà hoạt động dân chủ Trần Huỳnh Duy Thức đã bắt đầu cuộc tuyệt thực vô thời hạn tại nhà tù 6 Nghệ An để đòi pháp luật được “thượng tôn”, đòi “trưng cầu dân ý để nhân dân Việt Nam tự do chọn lựa chế độ chính trị”. Quyết định tận cùng này của anh đáp lại quyết định độc đoán của chính quyền là “trả tự do” cho Trần Huỳnh Duy Thức nếu anh chịu đi thẳng từ nhà tù ra sân bay Nội Bài để sang Mỹ – anh bị giam cầm từ 7 năm nay và bị kết án 16 năm tù chỉ vì những bài viết trên mạng để cổ vũ dân chủ.
Trong hai ngày 24 và 27 tháng 5-2016, nhiều đồng bào trong nước đã « tuyệt thực đồng hành » với Trần Huỳnh Duy Thức dưới hình thức « tại gia », hoặc « tụ tập tại nhà riêng ».
Trước tình hình sức khoẻ suy yếu của Trần Huỳnh Duy Thức, gia đình và bạn bè đã khẩn thiết yêu cầu anh ngừng tuyệt thực để bảo vệ sinh mạng, bảo toàn lực lượng cho cuộc đấu tranh cho dân chủ. Chiều ngày 1.6, gặp người em trai vào thăm anh trong tù, Trần Huỳnh Duy Thức đã chấp nhận ngưng cuộc tuyệt thực sau ngày tuyệt thực thứ mười lăm, tức là sau ngày 7 tháng 6 – 2016.
Để bảo vệ quyền tự do tư tưởng và ngôn luận của Trần Huỳnh Duy Thức, đòi chính quyền phải trả tự do cho Trần Huỳnh Duy Thức và toàn thể tù nhân chính trị và tù nhân lương tâm, chúng tôi kêu gọi đồng bào Việt Nam ở nước ngoài và bạn bè hãy « đồng hành cùng Trần Huỳnh Duy Thức » bằng những hoạt động thích hợp (lên tiếng trên mạng xã hội và phương tiện truyền thông, kiến nghị, tuyệt thực…).
Cụ thể, hãy cùng chúng tôi tuyệt thực cùng một ngày với Trần Huỳnh Duy Thức và đồng bào trong nước :

Since 24
May, Trần Huỳnh Duy Thức, a democracy activist, is carrying out an
indefinite
hunger strike in Nghệ An Prison No 6 to demand the rule of law and a
referendum
allowing the Vietnamese people to freely choose its political regime.
This extreme
resolution is his response to the arbitrary decision of the authorities
to set
him free if he agrees to be taken directly from his cell to the
airport, for a
one-way trip to the United States. He is now into his 7th year in jail,
serving
a 16-year sentence for the only « crime » of having
posted online
writings advocating democracy.
During two days, on 24 and 27 May 2016, many citizens in Viet Nam have fasted, individually or collectively, in their homes to show solidarity with Trần Huỳnh Duy Thức.
Alarmed by the worsening of his health condition, his family and friends have urged him to stop fasting in order to safeguard his life and continue to pursue his struggle for democracy. During his brother’s visit in prison on 1st June,Thức has agreed to suspend his hunger strike after the 15th day, that is Tuesday 7 June.
To uphold Trần Huỳnh Duy Thức’s rights to freedom of speech and opinion, to demand that the authorities release not only him but also all political prisoners and prisoners of conscience, we call upon our fellow countrymen and women and our friends to join hands with Trần Huỳnh Duy Thức by appropriate means (through social networks and communication channels, petitions, fasting ...)

Depuis le 24 Mai dernier, le militant vietnamien pour la démocratie Trân Huynh Duy Thuc a entamé une grève de la faim illimitée à la Prison n°6 du Nghê An pour demander le « respect de la loi » et l’organisation « d’un référendum pour que le peuple vietnamien puisse choisir librement son régime politique ». Cette décision extrême de Trân Huynh Duy Thuc est la réponse à la décision arbitraire des autorités de lui « rendre la liberté » s’il acceptait d’être extrait de sa cellule pour prendre directement, à l’aéroport de Nôi Bài, un aller simple pour les Etats-Unis – il purgeait la septième année d’une peine de seize, condamné pour avoir seulement mis en ligne des articles en faveur de la démocratie.
Les 24 et 25 Mai derniers, de nombreux citoyens au Vietnam même , « en famille » ou « en groupe à un domicile privé », ont jeûné pour manifester leur solidarité avec Trân Huynh Duy Thuc.
Inquiets de son affaiblissement physique, sa famille et de nombreux amis ont demandé instamment à Trân Huynh Duy Thuc de cesser la grève afin de se préserver pour un combat de longue durée. Le 1er juin, recevant son frère Duy Tan venu le voir en prison, Thuc a accepté l’idée de suspendre sa grève après le 7 juin (15eme jour de jeûne).
Pour défendre Trân Huynh Duy Thuc, sa liberté de pensée et d’opinion, pour réclamer sa libération mais aussi celle de tous les prisonniers politiques ou prisonniers de conscience, nous appelons tous nos compatriotes et tous nos amis à « se solidariser avec Trân Huynh Duy Thuc » sous toutes les formes appropriées (en se manifestant sur les réseaux sociaux et par tous les moyens de communication, en présentant des pétitions (+), en jeûnant…).
